LION’S PRIDE FARM & BUTCHER SHOP

Healthy & Happy Pigs, Turkeys, and Chickens

Farming The Way It Was Meant to Be

Lion’s Pride Farm is a small farm and butcher shop that takes pride in having stress free animals — who never have to leave the farm — with plenty of room to roam in natural habitat.

We also have a MN Dept of Agricultural inspected Custom butcher shop on the farm, where we process our own pigs and can also slaughter / process other farmer's pigs.

Nestled back on a 40 acres in the northern outskirts of Duluth, the Lionbergers are old fashioned farmers, farming the way they feel it was meant to be…

  • All Natural

  • No Antibiotics

  • No Hormones

  • Free Range

  • Pastured

  • And most important of all, Stress Free and Healthy

About Lion’s Pride Farm

Trever and Kathy Lionberger have been raising pigs, turkeys, and chickens (both egg layers and meat chickens), since 2011.

Kathy has been gardening ever since she could walk (starting out with the title of Weed Puller) and grew up around horses. Trever worked on a dairy farm for a number of years in the ‘90s; both of them have long appreciated local sourcing for food, and the old fashioned methods of farming.

When they met, they started hobby farming, learning from farm neighbors of theirs who were mentoring them. Trever and Kathy started by sugaring their maples, then got a flock of chickens, then raised two hogs, and it kept growing from there.

The Lionbergers have always felt it was important to take responsibility for their own food. They also admired the old ways of farming with pasture raised animals that are healthy, and gardening with the help of the pigs to till the soil. Kathy often chuckles as she walks out to the garden and says she is going to the store to get food for dinner. She is amazed at the abundance of food a small plot can produce.

Nestled in their forever home, Kathy and Trever (along with Trever’s parents, Barb and Larry, who live on the homestead and are an integral part of the operations of the farm) are pleased and proud to provide healthy and happy pork and poultry to the Duluth area.
